About this collection

The working end of an apothecary garden: echinacea, calendula, yarrow, elderberry, valerian, mullein, and lemon balm. Every plate is labeled in script italic with the common name and Latin binomial.

Warm white has the look of an old dispensary chart; deep black sets the flower heads off like specimens on dark velvet. Hang them in a study, along a pantry wall, or in a guest bath.

Echinacea is the natural first pick; elderberry and yarrow flank it well.

  • Matte poster, printed on demand
  • Six sizes, 8x10 up to 24x36 inches
  • Printed reproduction of an illustrated design - sold unframed
  • Sixteen herbs with real materia-medica history behind them, not a generic wildflower assortment.

As captioned on the prints

Echinacea (Echinacea purpurea), Calendula (Calendula officinalis), Yarrow (Achillea millefolium), Sambucus nigra, St. John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum), Valerian (Valeriana officinalis), Feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium), Mullein (Verbascum thapsus), Symphytum officinale, Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis), American Ginseng (Panax quinquefolius), Silybum marianum, Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera), Arnica montana, Plantago major, Hydrastis canadensis.

10 of these 16 have a full growing guide in our plant library — follow a name to read it.
