About this collection

North American natives, all sixteen of them: milkweed, joe pye weed, blazing star, wild bergamot, cardinal flower, boneset, and new england aster among the set. Each stem carries a script italic caption with its binomial.

Warm white gives them the look of pressed specimens; deep black pushes the purples and the cardinal flower's red forward. They do well on a screened porch, in a guest room, or over a potting bench.

Plant people should start with the monarch pair - milkweed and butterfly weed - and add wild bergamot for the bees.

  • Matte poster, printed on demand
  • Six sizes, 8x10 up to 24x36 inches
  • Printed reproduction of an illustrated design - sold unframed
  • Sixteen species you could seed straight into a pollinator strip - the art matches the planting list.

As captioned on the prints

Solidago canadensis, Common Milkweed (Asclepias syriaca), Asclepias tuberosa, Joe Pye Weed (Eutrochium purpureum), Vernonia fasciculata, Blazing Star (Liatris) (Liatris spicata), Wild Bergamot (Monarda fistulosa), Oenothera biennis, Columbine (Aquilegia canadensis), Tradescantia ohiensis, Blue Vervain (Verbena hastata), Cardinal Flower (Lobelia cardinalis), Great Blue Lobelia (Lobelia siphilitica), Geranium maculatum, Eupatorium perfoliatum, New England Aster (Symphyotrichum novae-angliae).
